Over the past three weeks, I have had the opportunity to work alongside the production team of Three Day Millionaire, during the current process I have worked as a production assistant across a variety of different departments, during the process, I have learned about the close network that is needed within the filmmaking process , while working on this project I have had the experience to understand the roles and responsibilities of understanding how to affectively communicate concerns.
During the production I have been able to educate myself through in production experience about how a slate works, the correct positioning and understanding about shot continuity however that confidence is major factor to ensuring that details for all crew are put in meaningful manner.
During the period, I have wanted to specifically develop in cinematography and directorial work, from the work I have been able to do I have learnt about how using a variety of shots helps to develop narrative but additionally how movement across scene's can help to disguise specific cuts.
I feel that fundamentally my knowledge and confidence in my skills have improved, I have been able to contribute more idea's to production staff in confident way that has helped to keep things on track and reduce any additional problems on production staff, I have also been able to communicate clearly with other runners. and bring our collective knowledge together, ultimately the opportunity has allowed me to widen my network in other area's across the UK, which will provide me with further production opportunities in the future.
